Canadian Blood Services works with the donation and transplantation community to improve the system for all Canadians. Through national collaboration involving organ donation organizations and transplantation programs across Canada we are working to increase organ and tissue donation, increase access to transplants and improve patient outcomes.This website provides valuable information and data related to clinical programs and services that support interprovincial sharing of organs; professional education resources, including the Canadian Clinical Guide to Organ Donation; numerous publications, data and progress reports; as well as leading practices and clinical guidelines relevant to OTDT system progress, deceased donation, living donation, transplantation and tissues.

The 2019 Critical Care Canada Forum (CCCF) took place in Toronto Nov. 10-13. This year marked the fifth annual Deceased Organ Donation Symposium, a two-day symposium held during CCCF that promotes scientific research and discussion about organ donation and transplantation and its application to critical care practice.
