HLA Education and Materials

Welcome

This section has been developed in collaboration with the National Human Leukocyte Antigen Advisory Committee (NHLAAC). The aim is to help further the education of HLA professionals across Canada. With the goal of increasing collaborative knowledge sharing, this section is home to HLA-related reference materials, research papers, presentations, and work instructions, It also hosts helpful links to HLA calculators, tools, and other online resources.

Here you will also find the ACHI-accredited NHLAAC Journal Club for continuing education. Re-watch past Journal Club presentations, download the Journal Club attendance sheet (required for obtaining ACHI CE credits) and other CE accreditation information. Check out exciting upcoming HLA-related events from ACHI, CST, NHLAAC Teleconferences, Journal Clubs meetings and more. For access to the Journal Club page please speak with your HLA Lab director to obtain the password.

The ABO Adjusted cPRA Calculation - January 2026 Webinar Recording

Information shared through this webinar will be to inform and prepare transplant programs, organ donor organizations, and HLA laboratories for the upcoming launch of the enhanced Canadian calculated Panel Reactive Antibody (cPRA) calculator that will now include an ABO adjustment calculation both in HSP and KPD programs.
