Cryoprecipitate

Cryoprecipitate appears as a concentrated precipitate at the bottom of a bag. It will appear thick, opaque, whitish and paste-like. Upon thawing, the cryoprecipitate mass will dissolve and re-suspend in the small amount of residual plasma and appear as an even, thick, whitish liquid. 

There are several conditions that may change the appearance of cryoprecipitate units. Whether or not a blood component is suitable for transfusion is determined by local hospital policy and procedures.
