The Canadian Transplant Registry (CTR) identifies transplant opportunities across Canada for heart transplant candidates who are highly sensitized to Human Lymphocyte Antigens (HLA) and/or designated as medically urgent (i.e., designated as medical status 4).

Welcome to the home of the NHLAAC Journal Club

Starting in November 2019, the NHLAAC committee conducted its first ABHI accredited Journal Club presentation with the goal of providing a venue for Canadian HLA professionals to continue their education, knowledge sharing, and receive ABHI CE credits.

Health care professionals in donation and transplantation are invited to attend a series of webinars focusing on psychological first aid, grief and loss, and moral distress, within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

A severe mass event like this pandemic can cause the general public and those affected by COVID-19, including health care workers, to be mentally impacted. Psychological First Aid is an intervention method that can help people in distress during these challenging times.
