What is the LearnTransfusion series?

The LearnTransfusion series is the seminar component of the Areas of Focused Competency (AFC)-Diploma Program in Transfusion Medicine. The series is also open to all practitioners in the field of Transfusion Medicine. Through a regular webinar series, trainees and practitioners are exposed to various scientific, technical and clinical aspects of transfusion medicine. 

The LearnTransfusion webinar series is offered in English only.

Attending LearnTransfusion

The LearnTransfusion series is comprised of webinars organized by Canadian Blood Services. These webinars usually take place on Tuesday mornings at 12:00 pm ET during the academic year (from September to June).

Accredited presentation series

The LearnTransfusion series presentations are self-approved group learning activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. A certificate of attendance is provided to attendees who attend the live seminars and complete the post-presentation surveys.

 

 

LearnTransfusion series recordings

Video recordings of presentations from the LearnTransfusion series are posted below following the live event if the speaker has consented to publication. 

A Certificate of Attendance for Continuing Medical Education (CME) purposes will be provided to individuals who attend the live presentation or view the recorded session (linked below) and complete the survey by 5:00 pm ET on the Friday following the presentation release date.
