Learning Objectives:

1.   Discuss two educational immunohematology cases that require advanced serologic and molecular investigation
2.   Review the selection and interpretation of serologic assays for the workup of the educational cases
3.   Describe the molecular assays employed for the resolution of these cases and their interpretation
4.   Integrate laboratory findings with the clinical context to provide a final transfusion strategy recommendation
