Event details

This eCast will provide essential insights into addressing unconscious bias and developing inclusive strategies for diverse community engagement. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of how hidden biases can shape decision-making, influence team dynamics, and affect interactions with employees and blood donors.

The program will begin by exploring the concept of unconscious bias, supported by real-world examples that illustrate its subtle yet significant effects. Participants will be guided through self-reflection exercises and introduced to practical tools for recognizing and addressing biases, helping them become more mindful and effective leaders.

The program will then shift focus to strategic community engagement, emphasizing the importance of building trust and representation in diverse communities to support blood donor recruitment and retention. Through a real-life case study, attendees will learn how to identify barriers such as education and trust and develop targeted outreach efforts. Best practices for partnering with local organizations and aligning outreach goals to create inclusive, community-centered donor initiatives will also be highlighted.

By the end of the program, attendees will be equipped with actionable strategies to mitigate bias, foster inclusivity, and promote equitable engagement that benefits both their teams and the broader community.
