The British Columbia Transfusion Medicine Rounds is a monthly 1-hour educational rounds with a multidisciplinary audience bringing together pathologists, clinicians, nurses, technologists, and researchers from British Columbia and throughout Canada who have an interest in Transfusion Medicine. 

For Fellows of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, The British Columbia Transfusion Medicine Rounds is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

For this TM rounds, we have four anaesthesia residents presenting short presentations on their QI projects on the following topics:

  1. Dr. Nicole Ng (R5): ROTEM review at VGH
  2. Dr. Namhee Kim (R4): Albumin review and guidelines
  3. Dr. Kyra Moura (R4): VCH MHP review
  4. Dr. Claire Moura (R5): APL management pathway for cardiac surgery
