The BC Provincial Blood Coordinating Office (PBCO) and Canadian Blood Services (CBS) provide a free education day on transfusion medicine every fall to support and educate technologists, nurses and physicians. This conference is also offered via webinar, reaching attendees throughout the province and beyond. 

Theme: Meeting the emerging challenges in transfusion medicine

Topics include:

  • Serology case study and advanced techniques
  • Evolving transfusion thresholds and blood management practices
  • Code Orange activation, emergency response, and contingency planning
